In a season layered with tradition and memories it is important to make space for the grief that comes with this time of year. Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one, the loss of a marriage, job transitions, or changed plans for the future, this service will create a space for you to come and be held through sacred elements of worship. There will be prayer, meditation, and anointing.
Join us for All Earth Is Hopeful, an Advent and Christmas concert performed by our very own First Presbyterian Church of Dallas Music Ministry ensembles. We’ll sing carols, hear meaningful poetry, listen to moving choir and handbell pieces, and enjoy hot chocolate together.
During Advent, you are invited to grow in your faith by picking up one of three available advent devotional books. These are available for no cost at our Advent Festival, and on Sunday mornings at our welcome desk.
Glimpses of God Incarnate - A collection of reflections written by the faculty of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where every day you will read a passage of scripture and meditate on its meaning alongside the author.
Close to Home - Created by A Sanctified Art, this devotional incorporates art, poetry, songs, and journaling space into reflections on Scripture passages.
God with Us: An Illustrated Devotional - Created by Illustrated Ministry. For all ages, but especially great for families with young children, this devotional is meant to be colored in and doodled on and presents conversational reflections on Scripture passages.
