Rev. Rebecca Chancellor Sicks
Associate Pastor for Adult Faith Formation
Rebecca has served at FPC Dallas since 2017. Before serving at FPC Dallas, Rebecca served congregations in Austin, Texas, Portland, Oregon, and Salina, Kansas. She has years of experience in youth ministry, has served on the board for Presbyterian Youth Workers Association, and served as an Advisor to the Young Adult Advisory Delegates (YAADs) to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. in 2016 and 2018.
Primarily raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Rebecca went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Education at Oklahoma State University. She later graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree and was awarded The John Spragens Award for Christian education.
Rebecca is passionate about cross-generational ministry and the journey of faith from infancy to maturity. She has a heart for authentic and meaningful worship as an experience with God, life-long learning, acting out our faith through service to others, and building relationships over tacos, coffee, or ice cream. Rebecca is on a journey herself to learn more about social justice, becoming anti-racist, and her role in creating a community where power and privilege are shared.
Rebecca met her husband, James, at Mo Ranch Presbyterian Assembly, and they married in 2016; they live in southwest Dallas with their young daughter.
